Dear OB Division Members,
This is a friendly reminder that we are seeking nominations for the 2021 AOM OB Doctoral Student Consortium. The consortium will take place virtually at the Annual AOM conference. The Organizational Behavior Doctoral Consortium is designed for students who are in the final year of their doctoral program (i.e., students who are currently on the job market and who have made significant progress on their dissertation/thesis research) and priority will be given to students who have made the most progress toward completing their Ph.D. program, but who have not yet defended their dissertations.
The consortium includes a mix of presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions designed to launch doctoral students into their academic careers. Faculty presentations, interactive panels with journal editors, and roundtable sessions include topics such as crafting the right academic job, succeeding at research and publishing, and preparing for effective teaching, as well as other related topics.
Due to the virtual nature of the conference, details about consortium start- and end- times will be communicated directly to accepted students. We will do our best to accommodate participants as much as possible due to the varied time zones. Though we understand the difficulty of accommodating everyone perfectly, we strongly recommend accepted participants attend each scheduled session of the consortium.
Nomination Requirements. The completed nomination should be submitted by the nominating department/school, via the survey below. Only nominations submitted via this survey will be considered. Typically, only one student per program can be accepted, though exceptions are made occasionally when two different supervisors from the same school both have students on the market in the same year.
The following information must be provided:
The nominee's one page vita/bio in PDF format (longer documents may be rejected). Please name the file with the nominee's last name followed by ShortCV (e.g., SmithShortCV.pdf). The nominee's one page summary of dissertation/thesis research in PDF format (title and abstract is fine; longer summaries may be rejected). Please name the file with the nominee's last name followed by Research (e.g., SmithResearch.pdf). Advisor/program chair endorsement.
Nominations will only be accepted via the following Qualtrics survey: https://imperial.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0q79La6xd7wzBrw
Nomination deadline: Friday, April 9, 2021 (5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time). For questions, please contact Oscar Holmes IV at Oscar.HolmesIV@Rutgers.edu or Celia Moore at email@example.com.
