Esteemed OB colleagues, Greetings from Burbank, California!

I trust this email finds you in fine fettle!

I will like to cordially invite you to the following innovative project:

The Routledge Companion to Mindfulness at Work, a forthcoming Handbook (Companion) to be published by Routledge (Taylor & Francis) in 2020.

Currently, comprising more than 35 chapters with more than 50 contributing authors from six continents-God willing!

This companion presents an up-to-date and comprehensive survey of the field of mindfulness in the workplace and uses a structured yet open-ended conceptual schema to capture the best of research and practices on the subject of mindfulness. Presenting a clear and concise approach to workplace mindfulness, it traces the genesis and growth of this burgeoning field and suggests trends and future directions. It recognizes the subtlety of the multi-dimensional construct of mindfulness in the workplace and proposes to offer a holistic perspective incorporating findings from both the Eastern and Western wisdom traditions to support the case for workplace mindfulness.

Authored/co-authored individual chapters for this Companion will comprise minimum of 5,000 to 7,500 (multi-author chapters tend to have a higher word count generally; there is no upper word limit) words and are due on October 15, 2019. (extra-extended deadline)

Please strictly use the following structure:

    1. Chapter Title
    2. Author(s) names and affiliation, including contact information [address--city, country, etc., and contact email(s)]
    3. Abstract (between 150 and 200 words)
    4. Keywords (5 – 10)
    5. Text of the chapter with APA style in-text citations
    6. Five Chapter Takeaways/lessons
    7. Five Reflection questions
    8. References APA style
    9. 150 words contributing author (s) bio (If more than one authors, the first author will assemble the bios of all the contributors and send as one consolidated document ---150 words bio for each of the contributors)

Your careful adherence to this structure will bring coherence and uniformity in the book as I prepare the layout of the book as well reduce extra work at the copy setting stage.

This project is due to the publishers on November 1, 2019. So, your early submission of carefully completed chapter (s) will help me to honor this due date. I will need 2 weeks to prepare the layout of the book as well as the front matter of the book. Hence, the Oct. 15 due date that has been extended for those friends who have joined this project a bit later.

Kindly let me know if you have any further questions. I look forward to receiving your chapter.

When you send your chapter, please include in the subject line of the email: "Mindfulness Companion Final Chapter."

If you have already submitted your chapter that complies fully with the above schema (as some of you have), thanks.

Thank you so much for your noble gift of caring for this topic so very sincerely.

    Warm Regards,

    Satinder
