    Dear Colleagues,

If you want to gain insights about how emotionally intelligent leadership can make a difference in effectively managing today's challenges about returning to physical work, you might consider attending this live virtual event: 11th Annual COB Film Festival on Leading with Emotional Intelligence will be held virtually this year, on December 2, 2021, Thursday, 3:00 pm, PST, at Zoom. The festival will feature 5 experimental comedy-films, focusing on the theme: "Should I Return or Should I Go? Leading with Emotional Intelligence During Pandemic Period". Teams of Human Resource Management students at Sacramento State have produced these films, with the guidance from Professor Hakan Ozcelik during Fall 2021 semester.

Since space is limited for this event, guests are requested to RSVP via the following link until December1: RSVP Link: https://csuscba.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6R94mD2gH2MnvIG

This year's films help seeking solutions for today's business world about how organizations can effectively manage employees' returning to physical work during COVID-19 pandemic. They illustrate how returning to work can evoke a wide range of emotions, including nervousness, resentment, ambivalence, reluctance, and loneliness. Integrating some major leadership theories with emotional intelligence concepts, each film also explores how emotionally intelligent leaders would look like in the midst of these challenge to move their employees to courage, dignity, happiness, excitement, and joy.

Following film presentations, Professor Mandy O'Neill from George Mason University, a leading scholar on emotions research, will provide a live commentary to analyze and integrate these films in an interactive forum. A jury panel including field experts, professors, and managers will choose the "Best Film".

Event flyer is attached here. This is a free event, sponsored by the Dean's Office at the College of Business at the Sacramento State University.
