    Friday, January 28, 2022 (11:00-5:30 est)

In recent years we've seen an unprecedented erosion of trust in government, media, technology, and other key institutions in the U.S. and around the world.

This situation poses a critical threat to private, public, and not-for-profit organizations that demands attention of policymakers, business and government executives, and researchers.

The first innovative session of the Trust Workshop will feature David Brooks (NY Times) who will be interviewing David Bersoff (Edelman).  Bersoff led the development of the Edelman 2022 Trust Barometer Report and will be highlighting key findings and their implications in the first session.

The three workshop sessions that follow, will feature globally recognized thought leaders who will jointly explore the current state of trust in governmental, media, and technological institutions.

The innovative format that BSPA has designed brings together a prominent academic, a practitioner from a major private sector organization, and a representative from the think tank community who together will assess the challenges facing institutions in their sectors and present actionable solutions for how institutions can rebuild trust.

The sessions will include perspectives on these issues presented by:

Bill Adair (Politifact)                                                           Chris Bail (Duke Polarization Lab)

David Bersoff (Edelman Trust Barometer)                         David Brooks (New York Times)

Dan Castro (VP Info Tech & Innov Fdtn)                            Ronnie Chatterji (US Department of Commerce)

Peter Coleman (Columbia University)                                Nancy Gibbs (Harvard University)

Nicole Gillespie (University of Queensland)                       Sue Gordon (frmr Princ Dep Director of National Intelligence)

Vince Hutchins (University of Michigan)                            Margaret Levi (Stanford University)

Chris Long (St John's University)                                      Osonde Osoba (LinkedIn)

Mariana Prats (OECD)                                                      Juliana Schroeder (University of California, Berkeley)

Sim Sitkin (Duke University)                                              Derek Thompson (The Atlantic)

In addition, each session will include an extensive Question & Answer Forum so can you involve yourself in this conversation.

This workshop is the first of a series that will be hosted by the Behavioral Science & Policy Association and will feature several of the world's experts on the science and practice of trust and trust-building.

Our first workshop will present grounded approaches that evaluate how the science and practice of restoring trust can be integrated into solutions for institutions.  This is your opportunity to hear from leading authorities and learn actionable solutions based on the latest thought leadership around these critical issues
