    Position Overview

    The Academic Director (AD) for the MBA programs at UC Davis GSM is a 50% appointment to provide overall strategic program leadership, working with faculty and the Senior Assistant Dean, Student Affairs. Working with the Faculty, the AD will ensure that the MBA degree is current, relevant, and valuable for students and will coordinate faculty review of the program curriculum, and facilitate continuous improvement. The AD, who will also receive a 50% faculty appointment in the Lecturer title series (non-tenure track) to teach in the program (12 quarter units annually expected), will be appointed the Graduate Program Committee Chair by the Dean of the Graduate School of Management. The position is contingent on funding and pending administrative approval. Salary is based on ability and experience.

    Salary range: A reasonable estimate for this position is $200,000 to $250,000.

    Qualifications

    Qualified candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Business Administration or a related field.

    Prior to appointment, the preferred incumbent should have at least five years of administrative experience in higher education programs, preferably in a business school. Ph.D. qualified candidates with college- and university-level committee experience may also apply.
