The Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship (MISE) in the Carson College of Business at Washington State University is seeking qualified candidates for one permanent tenure-track faculty position in Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management (OB/HR), based at our Pullman campus. We will consider candidates at the rank of assistant professor, with the position subject to budgetary approval.
Qualifications: Candidates should have earned a Ph.D. in Management or a closely aligned field from a nationally or internationally recognized university by the time of hire. Candidates should demonstrate the potential to establish a successful record of scholarly research, as evidenced by copies of published articles, submitted manuscripts, and working papers targeted for publication in top-tier Management journals. Evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and a commitment to teaching effectiveness at undergraduate and graduate levels is also expected.
Preferred qualifications: We are open to a variety of research areas and methodologies that complement our current capabilities. We are particularly interested in scholars whose work aligns with that of existing research faculty. An interest in research and/or teaching that advances equity, diversity, and inclusion of historically underrepresented communities and aligns with WSU's strategic plan is especially welcome. Candidates should be capable of teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate-level Management courses in face-to-face and online settings, with the likely expectation of teaching an undergraduate course in general business as part of the college's "Next Carson Coug" curriculum.
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to conduct high quality academic research, teach four courses per year (typically two per semester), and make rank-appropriate service contributions to the Department, College, University, and community. The candidate will also be expected to participate actively in the Management Ph.D. program.
Term, Compensation and Support: The term of appointment is a nine-month academic year, beginning on August 16, 2023. Rank is at the assistant professor level with competitive salary and benefits and excellent retirement programs. Summer support is provided.

WSU is a premier research institution, ranked as "very high research activity" (R1) by the Carnegie Foundation, with ambitions to grow. The university is currently pursuing its goal of becoming one of the nation's top 25 public research universities by 2030 through its "Drive to 25" or "D25" initiative. D25 is the University's highest strategic priority.
