    Job Overview

    The Department of Management of the University of Cincinnati's Lindner College of Business seeks to fill two Assistant Professor-Educator positions, which begin in Fall 2024. The Department has a strong commitment to high quality teaching and we are seeking a faculty member with a passion for teaching and working with students. Our degree programs are fully accredited by the AACSB. The Department has nine educator faculty, as well as ten full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty members in organizational behavior, strategy, and entrepreneurship. We also have an active doctoral program with six students currently in the program. 

     

    This position involves teaching the first-year experience course to incoming undergraduate students. Although this is primarily a teaching position, educator faculty are expected to engage with and mentor students, help connect students to industry and practice, and help develop and design courses.

    Essential Functions

    ·         Teaching the first-year experience course to incoming undergraduate students. This includes course preparation and curriculum development, delivering course content and leading hands-on exercises, holding office hours, as well as grading and preparing assessment materials. Classes may include face-to-face and online versions.

    ·         Coordinating student recitation leaders and teaching assistants, and collaborating with fellow faculty members.

    ·         Additional responsibilities will entail participating in curriculum/course development, updating existing courses to reflect the latest academic and industry trends, education-related service activities (e.g., advising student organizations, academic standards review), business community outreach, and other roles that support the educational mission of the department and institution.

    Minimum Requirements

    ·         Master's degree or higher in business, management, or a related discipline.

    ·         Demonstrated teaching success in an AACSB accredited business school.

    ·         A record of having independently taught at least one course in management, organizational behavior, business strategy, or a related area at the undergraduate or graduate level.
