Dear colleagues,
We are organizing a presenter symposium on how immigrants' personal lives and experiences affect their career choices and work lives. The symposium aims to shed light on the unique challenges immigrants face at work related to their personal experiences, especially those related to immigration.
An example paper included in this symposium investigates the impact of cultural and parental pressures on career choices and work experiences of second-generation immigrants.
We are keeping the population broad, including professional immigrants, immigrant entrepreneurs, second-generation immigrants etc. However, we would like the focus of the papers to be on the interplay between work and non-work. We welcome theoretical, empirical, and methodological contributions.
If you are interested in participating, please submit a brief description of your paper to dal362@drexel.edu and nv373@drexel.edu by November 24th.
We look forward to receiving your submissions and thank you for considering this opportunity!
