Hello AOM community, I am inviting you to participate in a voluntary research study that explores workplace experiences among diverse employee groups-and how these experiences relate to identity, belonging, stigma, and well-being at work.

This study is part of a PhD dissertation at Toronto Metropolitan University and has received ethics approval from the university's Research Ethics Board (REB #2025-188). By participating, you'll be contributing valuable insights that can inform more inclusive, supportive, and healthier work environments across industries. You will also be entered in a draw to win one of three $100 lululemon gift cards.

    What's Involved:

Survey 1 (6 minutes): Includes questions on workplace role, identity, and experiences of belonging and stigma.

Two Follow-Up Surveys: Participants that complete survey 1 will be invited to complete two brief follow-ups related to self-concept, loneliness, and burnout. These will be coordinated directly by the research team.

    Why Participate?

Your input will help inform how organizations understand and support diverse employees.

The research will contribute to a deeper academic understanding of identity and well-being at work.

Participation is completely voluntaryanonymous, and confidential.

We encourage you to complete Survey 1 using the secure link below:

    Territory Acknowledgement
Toronto is in the Dish with One Spoon Territory. The Dish with One Spoon is a treaty between the Anishnaabe, Mississaugas, and Haudenosaunee that bound them to share the territory and protect the land. I have been told that subsequent Indigenous Nations and Peoples, Europeans, and all newcomers have been invited into this treaty in the spirit of peace, friendship, and respect.

To educate yourself on the meaning of Land Acknowledgement and why it is important to participate in them, please visit Native Land's Territory Acknowledgment website.
