I expect that one of the many "tools" in ucinet is multidimensional scaling (MDS, possibly via annealing). Standard stat packages such as SPSS also do MDS. Ucinet has many other tools because different questions or uses of the data call for different methods. But if MDS would provide a meaningful, useful ...
