Teaching Writing book series (Brill/Sense)
Dr. Patricia Leavy, Series Creator and Editor
The Teaching Writing series publishes short instructional guides to how to write well in different areas (100-125 printed pages). The books are intended for academic audiences and must have course adoption potential.
We are open to suggested topics but are particularly interested in proposals for disciplinary guides on:
Writing in Education
Writing in Art Education
Writing in Sociology
Writing in Psychology
Writing in Communication
Writing in Social Work
We are also particularly interested in proposals on:
Writing Collaboratively
Series authors must have a demonstrated publishing record and must hold a PhD, MFA or the equivalent.
If interested, please email a very brief pitch (your proposed topic and background) to Mx. Shalen Lowell, Dr. Leavy's assistant, at shalenlowell@gmail.com. Shalen will let you know if we are interested in a full proposal and, if so, they will send you the guidelines.
