    Lab Manager for the Center for Behavioral and Decision Research (CBDR) at Carnegie Mellon University

    The Center for Behavioral and Decision Research (CBDR) at Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a talented Lab Manager to start in July 2018. CBDR is an interdisciplinary research center that brings together scholars from behavioral economics, organizational behavior, marketing, psychology, public policy, and computer science. The current directors of CBDR are Professor Taya Cohen (Tepper School of Business), Professor Alex Imas (Department of Social & Decision Sciences), and Professor Alessandro Acquisti (Heinz College of Public Policy). CBDR provides researchers with a unique mixture of resources including specialized lab spaces, an active participant pool, and computing equipment (more information about CBDR can be found at: https://cbdr.tepper.cmu.edu/). 


    The main duties of the Lab Manager include:

    • Developing and implementing operating and administrative policies and procedures for the use of CBDR laboratories and equipment.
    • Performing financial recordkeeping and lab system budgeting
    • Managing purchasing of equipment and software, and scheduling maintenance for the laboratories. 
    • Maintaining and growing community and student subject pools for lab-based and online studies.
    • Resolving research participant issues, and providing support to participants and researchers.
    • Assisting researchers with experiment design, data collection, and analysis.
