Dear OB Colleagues,
The Summer issue of Personnel Psychology is now available (see below for full details).
This issue includes:
· a meta-analysis on workplace discrimination;
· a set of field studies demonstrating that "being envied at work" can elicit both positive and negative moods, with the latter negatively impacting work engagement and job performance;
· a set of three studies demonstrating that learning goal orientation moderates the relationship between perceived demands-abilities fit and individuals' likelihood of applying for a job, interns' job satisfaction, and newcomers' OCB;
· a set of studies that examines how people's attitudes towards justice (instrumental versus value-expressive) interact to influence justice behavior;
· and a methodological piece detailing a statistical approach – the consensus emergence model -- that allows researcher to study the emergence of shared perceptions in groups over time.
There are also reviews of four books: Handbook of Qualitative Organizational Research; The Power Paradox; Managing Workplace Diversity and Inclusion; and Superforecasting.
If you have any trouble accessing the articles or book reviews, please contact me.
Best regards,
Maria
