    Hello all,

With the submission deadline for Academy of Management's 2018 conference fast approaching (January 9th, 2018), a few colleagues and I are looking for panelists to join us for a discussion of remote and virtual work teams. Our aim is to put together a diverse group of research- or practice-oriented panelists who can speak to emerging trends and best practices in managing remote workers and remote or technology-assisted work teams. Specific topics may include but are not limited to:

    - Current industry-level trends in remote work

    - Lived experiences as remote workers (from either a manger or employee perspective)

    - Original research on technology-assisted communication and interaction

    - Best practices around building and/or managing remote workers or remote work teams.

Academic and practitioner voices are both welcome; as are both complete and in-progress research and white paper projects. Once we have a good sense of who will be joining us, my colleagues and I will put together a list of questions and take responsibility for compiling the panel submission itself.

What we would need from discussants is a summary of their background, expertise, and what they'll be talking about. This summary should consist of approximately one to three paragraphs, which we will submit as part of the panel symposium. The full guidelines for submission can be found here: http://aom.org/annualmeeting/submission/guidelines/#symposiumguideline

If you are potentially interested in participating (or would like to learn more about the aims of the panel or the current discussants and topics), please feel free to contact me (cassidys@uoguelph.ca)

    Best,

    Scott
