Psychology Chair Position #100450 (full-time, 12-month tenure-earning appointment)

We are seeking an energetic and creative leader to join a collegial group of psychology faculty in a department offering a BA and BS degree in Psychology and an MA in Applied Experimental, Industrial/Organizational, and Clinical/Counseling Psychology. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Psychology or closely related discipline from an accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. The successful candidate should possess academic administrative experience equivalent to chairing a Psychology department, be an Associate or Full Professor, and support undergraduate and master's level psychology programs. Evidence of interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a clear vision and strategy for growth is required. The successful candidate will have a 1:1 teaching expectation, with preference given to those with a background in one of the three master's areas.
Our department consists of 15 full time faculty members with varied areas of research and is committed to diversity within the curriculum as well as within student and faculty bodies. We are located within the new and fast-growing College of Health. Our department has over 400 undergraduate majors and approximately 60 graduate students in our master's programs. The university is located on a 1600-acre campus that is designated as nature preserve and has a diverse student population of approximately 14,000 that includes underrepresented and international students.
