The Department of Management in the School of Business, University at Albany-State University of New York, in Albany, New York (http://www.albany.edu/business/school-of-business-departments-management.php) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment in Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management. The rank of the position is open, though preference may be given to advanced Assistant Professors. The position will commence Fall, 2018.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior, Human Resources Management, or a closely related field from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization. Candidates should present a record of outstanding scholarly research achievement, evidence of high-quality teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and collegial collaboration. Candidates should have experience teaching classes in OB.
The School of Business is AACSB accredited in both Business and Accounting, and offers a supportive environment for research with teaching loads and research support competitive with other major research universities. Housed in a beautiful new building, the Massry Center for Business is central to the UAlbany campus. Management faculty are research-active with publications in top-tier business and psychology outlets, including Journal of Management, Personnel Psychology, Information Systems Research, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and Journal of Vocational Behavior. The School of Business offers degrees at the Bachelor's and Master's levels, including a globally recognized MBA concentration in Human Resource Information Systems.
The University at Albany is a Carnegie 1 research university with over 17,000 undergraduate and graduate students, and is one of four research centers in the SUNY system. The University is located in the state capital, and the surrounding capital district area is a center for culture, entertainment, and outdoor recreation.
