    Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

    The Department of Management within the College of Business at Iowa State University invites applications for a tenured position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor in Human Resource Management/Organizational Behavior.

    The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of and be expected to continue conducting rigorous, high impact scholarly research publishable in top-tier management journals. Effective teaching at the undergraduate, Master's and/or PhD levels within the Human Resource Management field also is expected.

    Required Education and Experience

    • PhD in management or related field with a focus on Human Resources or related area
    • Demonstrated ability to establish strong scholarly research and teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels
    •Meets the college's standards to be Scholarly Academic Qualified under the AACSB accreditation standards.

    For those applying at the Associate Professor rank: In addition to the above, an exemplary record of scholarly research, teaching, and service commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor in the College of Business at ISU.

    In addition to the above, applicants for Full Professor also must have a strong national and international scholarly reputation.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    • Strong record of publications in relevant premier and high-quality journals 
    • Teaching experience at the MBA and PhD level.
    • Consistently good teaching evaluations for at least the past 3 years
    • Experience mentoring PhD students
