  • 1.  MBA Diversity Reading

    Hello all,

I'm looking for a new diversity reading for my MBA Organizational Leadership class. In the past, I've assigned Kochan et al (The effects of diversity on business performance), but I'd like to see if there's something more recent. I'm leaning toward Galinsky et al (Maximizing the gains and minimizing the pains of diversity). Any other favorites for MBA students?

    Thanks,

    Tom

    Hello Tom,

One article I would recommend is Dobbin & Kalev (2016). Why diversity programs fail. HBR. The focus is on increasing diversity in organizations but it could be a nice addition.

    Best,

    David

    Tom,

    Another article:

    Hamdani, M. R. & Buckley, M. R. (2011). Diversity goals: Reframing the debate and enabling a fair evaluation. Business Horizons, 54: 33-40.

    Best regards,
