Strategically located midway between Atlanta and Charlotte on the I-85 economic corridor, Clemson University is the land-grant university of South Carolina and, according to US News & World Report, ranks #21 among the country's top national public universities. The University has nearly 23,400 students (including nearly 18,600 undergraduates) who can select from 80 undergraduate and 110 graduate degree programs. Clemson employs over 1150 full-time faculty and has an annual budget expenditure of over $900 million. Clemson University maintains its status as an R1 research university while maintaining a strong focus on education at the undergraduate level.
The College of Business is AACSB-accredited and consists of six departments, Management, Marketing Finance, Graphic Communications, Economics, and the School of Accountancy. The College of Business has two campuses, the main campus in Clemson and the graduate campus in a new, state of the art building in downtown Greenville (30 miles from Clemson). The college offers six undergraduate degree programs, five specialized master's degrees, an MBA and two Ph. D. programs (Economics and Management). Undergraduate enrollment in the college is currently 3559 and graduate enrollment is 713.
Reporting directly to the Dean, the Associate Dean will serve on the College Leadership Team and be involved in strategic and tactical planning initiatives, help manage day to day operations of the Dean's Office, provide support for Undergraduate education by serving as a liaison to other offices and coordinating departmental efforts at the College level, support undergraduate engagement by partnering with Student Enrichment and the Undergraduate Academic Advising Center, provide coordination and oversight regarding assessment (SACS, AACSB) and benchmarking, provide administrative support for and collaborate with Chairs and the Dean regarding eTPR review, FAS, etc., and complete other tasks assigned by the Dean.
