    Dear colleagues,

My name is Rachel Omansky, I'm an I/O doctoral candidate at Baruch College/The Graduate Center, CUNY. Dr. Erin Eatough, Allie Tumminia, and I (all Baruch College) are putting together a SIOP 2018 symposium on constructs, techniques, or theories from other disciplines that either have recently been introduced to the I/O sphere or are well suited for integration with I/O topics. In recent years, several advancements in I/O have come from integration with different fields, such as the use of eye trackers from Marketing and Cognitive Psychology and the examination of genetics as predictors of individual differences. The purpose of this symposium would be to introduce new possibilities for interdisciplinary integration to encourage I/Os to explore new avenues of advancement. We are currently working on a paper on the relationship between Impostor Phenomenon and maladaptive work behaviors and are looking for additional participants doing interdisciplinary work. This could include topics from areas including, but not limited to, genetics, military psychology, cognitive psychology, neuroscience, or developmental psychology. Please contact me at rcomansky@gmail.com if your work would potentially fit with this topic.

    Best,
    Rachel
