Assistant / Associate Professor of Management
School of Business Administration
The Management Department of the School of Business Administration at The University of Mississippi invites applications for a tenure track-faculty position in Management with a specialization in Organizational Behavior or Human Resource Management. The anticipated starting date is August, 2018.
Duties: To teach undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral level courses in management and to perform duties assigned by the Dean of the School of Business Administration and Chair of the Department of Management. The normal teaching load for this position for a research-active faculty member is 2/2 (6 credit hours per each semester, Fall and Spring) with the option to teach summer courses for additional pay subject to course and funding availability.
Required Qualifications: To be considered for this position, the applicant must have an earned doctorate degree (or hold ABD status with expected degree completion prior to August, 2018) from an AACSB accredited or well-regarded business program in Management with a specialization in either OB or HRM. Candidates should possess a proven track record of original research and publication in quality/recognized management journals, and must provide evidence of a strong commitment to scholarship, effective teaching, and service. No candidate will be considered who does not meet the departmental AACSB standards for Scholarly Academics (SA).
The Management Department at Ole Miss has seen a notable improvement in the quality of its publications in recent years. Our faculty are part of international editorial boards and the leadership for the Southern Management Association. In the last five years, our faculty have published in Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Strategy Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Organization Science. Incoming faculty would be expected to continue this productivity and can expect robust support to do so.

Salary for this position is competitive while the cost of living in Oxford is particularly low (e.g., approximately 40% lower than the Washington, DC area). Applications will be considered immediately. The position will be open until filled or until an adequate applicant pool is achieved.
