| POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA, RANKED RENEWABLE TERM IN SPORTS MANAGEMENT/BUSINESS –NON-TENURE TRACK New PhD/Advanced Assistant/Associate - Open until filled Michael F. Price College of Business University of Oklahoma Norman, Oklahoma 73019 The Division of Management & International Business in the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma is excited to invite qualified individuals to apply for an Assistant/Associate Professor position in SPORTS MANAGEMENT/BUSINESS for the fall of 2018. The successful candidate for this non-tenure track position will provide primary leadership for our young but rapidly growing sports management programs. This will include teaching courses in the program, managing the curricula and our core of sports professionals who teach in the program, supervising plus identifying internships and aiding in fundraising. This individual will be the key person in the interdisciplinary 4+1 graduate curricula in which the program participates. The successful candidate will also be responsible for growing the relationships with our key partners including the perennially highly ranked University of Oklahoma Athletics Program and the Oklahoma City Thunder as well as with other partner organizations such as the Oklahoma City Energy FC, the Oklahoma City Dodgers and the Texas Rangers. In addition the successful candidate will be expected to continue research productivity sufficient to maintain the AACSB Scholarly Academic classification. To that end it should be noted that our faculty is an active group of collaboratively minded scholars whose work has appeared regularly in premier outlets such as the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management and Strategic Management Journal. This is a position suited for scholars ranging from new PhDs to more advanced Assistant Professors or new Associate Professors. Duties will include a standard teaching load of 12 hours (four courses) per semester of sports business and/or management courses. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in diversity related teaching and research plus to those that have work experience in either intercollegiate athletics or professional sports. Course reductions will be available to allow time for the program development and leadership aspects of the position. A variety of resources for travel and research support are available.
