Dear OB Colleagues
Are you interested in a job working with great people on exciting research in a lovely city? Please keep reading!
Two post-doctoral research positions are sought to work in a newly established research stream on ageing and work. The research is part of an ARC Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research (CEPAR), directed by Professor John Piggott from the University of New South Wales. CEPAR carries our multidisciplinary research on the topic of population ageing, and will soon be embarking on a new research stream called "Organisations and the Mature Workforce". Example topics to be investigated include: what is the role of work design in promoting successful ageing, how can organisations attract and retain mature workers, and how can the health and performance of mature workers be fostered.
Professor Sharon Parker is the Chief Investigator for Organisations and the Mature Workforce stream. You will report to Sharon and you will be located at the UWA Business School in Perth, Western Australia.
Appointees are expected to have relevant PhD qualification (or ABD) in organisational psychology, experience in a range of research methods conducting applied organisational and field-based research, and preferably some knowledge of aging and/or work design research.
The University of Western Australia (UWA) is a member of the prestigious Australian Group of Eight research-intensive universities and ranked amongst the top 100 universities in the world. The UWA Business School, located in Perth, is one of the premier business schools in the Asia Pacific Region with a reputation for international excellence in research, teaching and learning. Perth is a beautiful city with rivers, sea, good weather, and a lovely outdoor lifestyle.
Not only will you have the opportunity to work on exciting research, but you will have the chance to connect with fabulous researchers at the UWA Business School and Psychology Department including (amongst others!) Cristina Gibson, Mark Griffin, Gillian Yeo, Ramon Rico, Burak Oc, Sandy Kiffin-Peterson, Marylene Gagne, Alex Luksyte, and Patrick Dunlop.
This is an outstanding opportunity for researchers with a track record of academic excellence and a passion for ageing/work research to join a high impact, research centre. Please see the CEPAR website (http://www.cepar.edu.au/) for more information about the overall CEPAR program, and please also see the Centre for Transformative Work Design website for information on where you will be physically located (www.transformativeworkdesign.com)
An individual who has recently graduated with their PhD would normally be expected to start in the Level A to B range (see http://www.hr.uwa.edu.au/policies/policies/pay/scales/academic)
