    Tenure-Track Faculty

    Position: Position: Position: The Management Department in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University invites applications for the following three full-time, tenure-track positions open at the assistant, senior-assistant, or associate professor rank to begin August 2018.

    ·         One in Strategic Management/Organization Theory

    ·         One in Organization Behavior/Human Resources

    ·         One open to either micro or macro research area who are interested in teaching doctoral- level research methods/analyses classes.

    Candidates should demonstrate strong research potential and must have a Ph.D. (or be in the final stages of dissertation work), demonstrate an interest in and a capacity for both conducting high-quality scholarly research and working with doctoral students as well as a high level of teaching competence. Assistant professors are given minimal service assignments and single course preps as well as summer support to allow them to focus on their research programs.

    Salary and teaching loads are commensurate with a comprehensive research university.

     

    Qualifications: By Fall 2018, Candidates should hold or anticipate holding a Ph.D. in management or a related field. Candidates for the position should demonstrate strong research potential, preferably with an early career record of top-tier publication activity. We expect faculty members to pursue an active research program, help to supervise doctoral students, and perform undergraduate and graduate-level teaching. We have a strong preference for candidates who have a research program with high-impact potential underway and who are able to work well with others in our collegial department.

     

    Department: The department currently has 18 tenure-track positions and a collegial atmosphere. Research is highly valued by the department and our faculty consistently publish in premier research journals including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Applied Psychology as well as many other highly-ranked scholarly outlets. In addition, our members of our faculty currently serve as Associate Editors or on editorial boards of leading journals. Senior faculty are committed to mentoring junior faculty. The doctoral program is an important component of the department; doctoral students work closely with faculty and successfully publish in top-tier outlets prior to graduation.

    City of Stillwater. All three positions will be located on the Stillwater campus of Oklahoma State University. The Spears School of Business is completing a new Business Building to open in January of 2018. The city of Stillwater is a growing community consistently winning awards for best places to live, most recently in Money Magazine (June 2015). The addition of commercial air travel and the construction of a new Center for the Performing Arts enhance Stillwater's vibrant culture. The cost of living in Stillwater is roughly 90% of national average and the cost of housing is roughly 80% of national average. Stillwater is approximately one hour drive to both Tulsa (where we also have a campus) and Oklahoma City.
