Job Summary

The East Tennessee State University College of Business and Technology invites preliminary applications for a tenure track professor at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development, or Organizational Theory. The position will begin Fall 2018.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The position requires a demonstrated ability to conduct high quality scholarly research and perform well in the classroom. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach a senior level Organizational Theory and Development course. Some professional/business experience is desirable, but not required. Interest in sustainability research is also desirable. Service expectations are commensurate with rank. Preference will be given to experienced junior faculty who have completed their Ph.D. at least 2-3 years ago.

Required Qualifications

Education: Ph.D in Organizational Behavior/Organizational Development/Organizational Theory (OB/OD/OT). All applicants must have completed the requirement for a Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited school by the date of appointment. Applicants should demonstrate strong potential for conducting significant scholarly research and publishing in high quality journals and other outlets. Additionally, they must possess an excellent record of teaching and a commitment to serving the university, college, and business communities.
