Faculty Positions in Human Resource Management
School of Management and Labor Relations
Rutgers University
The Department of Human Resource Management in the School of Management and Labor Relations invites applications for two or more senior faculty positions to begin in September 2018. Candidates at the rank of Associate or Full Professor are preferred. We seek colleagues with a demonstrated record of publishing in top journals in the HR and management fields, and who can teach courses in the functional areas of HRM (broadly construed). Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, or a related discipline or field of study; must maintain an active research program; and be interested in working closely with our doctoral students. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate, masters, and/or doctoral level courses for our diverse mix of domestic and international students seeking degrees in HRM. Applicants must demonstrate a record of professional accomplishments commensurate with an appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level. We are particularly interested in individuals who demonstrate a willingness to perform service activities and who are interested in being active members of a rich academic community.
The Rutgers University School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) is the world's leading source of research on Human Resource Management featuring some of the most frequently published and cited HR faculty in the United States. We offer a rich array of courses and degrees at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels. Students in our master's program are active participants in the SHRM student chapter, earning it the Outstanding Chapter Award in recent years. Located in New Brunswick, New Jersey, we are close to numerous corporate headquarters and operational facilities, providing many opportunities for faculty and students to engage with a robust community of HRM practitioners. New Brunswick is a vibrant city with a thriving arts community, a lively downtown, and top recreational facilities with convenient access to New York City and Philadelphia. Complementing our location is a school culture that respects the need to balance work and non-work activities.
