UNDERSTANDING CONTEXT, EXPLORING CONTINGENCIES, AND SEEKING CONSENSUS

October 13-15, 2017, Columbus, OH, USA

Registration is now open and the conference program has been posted!  Please consider attending if you are interested in any aspect of workplace commitments or related constructs.

    Purpose

This conference brings together a community of scholars interested in the phenomenon of commitment to share and discuss ideas and findings relating to the conference theme of "Understanding Context, Exploring Contingencies, and Seeking Consensus." The purpose of this conference is to advance the literature by promoting leading-edge thinking on all aspects and forms of commitment in organizational contexts regardless of bases, mindsets or targets (e.g., commitment to organizations – employing or other, people, teams, occupation, goals, change efforts, decisions, values, etc.)

The conference is a mix of invited (30%) and peer reviewed (70%) presentations. There will be a single track of presentations of a variety of lengths and formats. The small size of the conference promotes opportunities for informal interaction and dialogue among attendees to facilitate networking, collaboration, the sharing of ideas, and in-depth discussions.

    Program

The conference begins Friday afternoon October 13th, 2017 with networking opportunities. Conference sessions will begin Saturday morning, October 14th and end at noon on Sunday, October 15th. See the Conference Program for the complete schedule and the specific topics to be addressed. Registration is required to attend the conference events. See the Conference Registration page of the conference website for details.
