    ASSISTANT PROFESSOR  OF ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR

    Suffolk University's Sawyer Business School is seeking an Assistant Professor to join us in our collegial and dynamic Organizational Behavior (OB) group that is part of the Management and Entrepreneurship Department. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality research and teaching. This position requires a completed Ph.D. in OB or relevant field and a proven track record in organizational behavior research and teaching. Preference will be given to candidates with a teaching interest in cross-cultural management and research in the area of organizational behavior.

    The Management and Entrepreneurship Department consists of 16 full-time, high-quality scholars and teachers. Our faculty members have experience publishing in top-tier journals such as Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Personnel Psychology, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. Our commitment to research is further evidenced by the availability of internal grants and benefits afforded to faculty research initiatives.

    Teaching is also an integral part of this position. Course load is five classes during the academic year with a typical average of 30 students per class and minimal course preparations. We offer courses in the following areas: managing across cultures, leadership, managing change, creativity and innovation, managing workplace diversity, negotiation, human resource management, and a senior project capstone course. In addition, our faculty members offer courses within the OB concentration in the MBA program and the Executive MBA program. See our website for more information: www.suffolk.edu/business.

    The Management and Entrepreneurship Department is known for its collaborative and supportive culture, including brownbags, idea incubators, and other regular social events. New faculty members receive guidance, support, and mentoring from other faculty members in terms of best research and teaching practices. Collaboration within and between departments is common and encouraged.
