    Here are two papers of mine that are mixed method:

    Elsbach, K.D. Cable, D.M., & Sherman, J.S., 2010. How passive "face time" affects perceptions of employees: Evidence of spontaneous trait inference. Human Relations, 63, 735-760. 
    * Winner of the 2010 Paper of the Year Award, Human Relations

    Elsbach, K.D. 1994. Managing organizational legitimacy in the California cattle industry: The construction and effectiveness of verbal accounts. Administrative Science Quarterly, 39, 57-88.
    * Named one of the most interesting papers of the past 100 years, Academy of Management Journal, 2006.
    * Winner of the Louis Pondy Award for Best Paper from a Dissertation, Academy of Management.

    Hi Jacqueline,

    I recently published a piece in Organizational Research Methods which reviews mixed methods approaches and provides numerous illustrative examples, including interviews with authors of such work, to highlight lessons learned.  I'm attaching it here for you.
