Dear Colleagues,
we are conducting research on triggers of salient categorizations in decision-making teams. We are particularly interested in the salience of subgroups, and we are looking for measures for such a variable.
We are aware of measures based on perceptions of subgroup formation (e.g. Earley, C. P., Mosakowski, E. (2000). Creating hybrid team cultures: An empirical test of transnational team functioning. Academy of Management Journal, 43(1): 26-49)
and of measures based on open-ended lists of categories perceived as differentiating the group (Meyer, B., Shemla, M., Schermuly, C. C. (2011). Social category salience moderates the effect of diversity faultlines on information elaboration. Small Group Research, 42(3): 257-282)
If you know about other measures (even outside the purely perceptual realm of salience), please let me know
Thank you very much in advance
Kind Regards
Carmine
