Responsibilities
The primary teaching responsibilities would be in the area of Management/HR for the undergraduate and MBA programs. We invite applicants matching either of the following two profiles:
Profile 1 (Management): The primary teaching responsibilities would be in the areas of 1) International Business (IB) and Strategy OR 2) Entrepreneurship and Strategy for the undergraduate and MBA programs.
OR
Profile 2 (Human Resources Management): The primary teaching responsibilities would be in the area of Human Resources Management, for the undergraduate and MBA programs. We prefer teaching interest in Employee Relations.
Faculty members are expected to publish regularly in peer-reviewed journals. Untenured faculty members are expected to participate in service activities for the department and college (e.g., curriculum development). University-level service is expected at higher ranks.
Requirements
Candidates must possess:
- An earned doctorate in IB/Entrepreneurship/Strategy/HRM from an AACSB-accredited institution or a closely related field (Industrial/Labor Relations, IO Psychology) from an institution with commensurate credentials (ABDs with a reasonable likelihood of degree completion prior to hiring may also apply)
- A record of excellence in teaching or potential for excellence in teaching; and
- A record of publications in refereed journals or ability to satisfy the research requirements of the College of Business.
Organizational experience related to the field and a proven record of building bridges between academia and practice is highly valued.
Preferences
Additional preference will be given to those who can teach innovation/creativity or research methods related courses (for either position). Faculty members are expected to publish regularly in peer-reviewed journals. Faculty members are expected to participate in service activities for the department and college (e.g., club advisor, curriculum development). At higher ranks, university-level service is expected in addition.
Starting Date September 1, 2018 or earlier if mutually agreed upon.
