Dear colleagues,
As you may know, the Journal of Applied Psychology (JAP) will soon celebrate its first Centennial. The first issue was published in March, 1917. While the journal has evolved quite a bit over the past 100 years, it has been – and continues to be – a leading outlet publishing psychology-based scientific research relevant to work and organizational phenomena and settings.
In celebration of this momentous occasion, and the Journal's many important contributions over the years, we will publish a Centennial Special Issue in the upcoming March 2017 issue of JAP. The Special Issue – co-edited by Steve Kozlowski, Ed Salas, and myself – includes an exciting set of articles summarized in a file attached to this email. All articles now appear on JAP's Online First Publication website (see http://psycnet.apa.org/index.cfm?fa=browsePA.ofp&jcode=apl). As you can tell, many leading scholars in our field have contributed to this effort. We greatly appreciate their contributions, and hope you enjoy reading this excellent set of articles.
Furthermore, the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology (SIOP) has graciously worked with us to coordinate four invited conference sessions, which build off JAP's Centennial Special Issue. I'm attaching another file, which summarizes these four invited sessions, and encourage those of you attending the SIOP conference this April to attend these sessions.
Finally, I wanted to also encourage you to continue submitting your very best work to JAP, as it enters its second Century!
All the best,
Gilad
