LONDON BUSINESS SCHOOL EUROPEAN PHD WORKSHOP
The London Business School is holding a research workshop for a select group of graduate students enrolled in European PhD programmes on June 29-30, 2017. The workshop will focus on generating innovative research projects related to social psychology and organisational behaviour. The aim is to discuss 'unsolved' problems or questions in these areas and generate ideas to examine them.
Students can choose one of three sessions to attend, led by LBS faculty:
· Social cognition (Thomas Mussweiler and Daniel Effron)
· Groups and Teams (Pier Vittorio Mannucci and Michael Parke)
· Gender and work (Eliot Sherman and Selin Kesebir)
The workshop will provide opportunities to:
· Informally present and receive feedback on current research projects
· Learn about research by LBS faculty and other workshop participants
· Brainstorm new research ideas in small groups
· Form new collaborations
The aim of this workshop is to bring together bright, motivated PhD students with similar interests so they may inform and benefit from each other's line of research, in a collaborative environment. We envisage this workshop will help participants generate additional questions or projects they may wish to explore, either individually or in collaboration with other participants from the workshop.
We ask current doctoral students working on social cognition, groups and teams, or gender and work to send us a short research statement (approximately 150 words) telling us about a current research project on one of these topics (please feel free to include the relevant working/published paper) as well as a CV.
