Dear OB Colleagues,
In case it is of interest I am pleased to inform you of the recent publication by Gower/Routledge of my book "Integral Operational Leadership: A Relationally Intelligent Approach to Sustained Performance in the Twenty-First Century".
The book is a sequel to my first book, "Collaborative Wisdom: From Pervasive Logic to Effective Operational Leadership" (Published by Gower/Routledge 2013) and concerns itself with an alternative and 'progressive' leadership logic based upon perspectives, priorities and practices considered more attuned to the realities of the twenty-first century environment within which the business organisation finds itself operating today. It contends that, contrary to the persisting emphasis on" c suite" leadership, the practise of effective leadership within the business organisation occurs at the middle and lower reaches of the organisation and in the 21st century requires a "big picture" and relationally intelligent approach to the people "asset" and also a more robust contribution to and influence on policy and organisational objectives by such leaders within the organisation in order to ensure optimal performance and survival in the 21st century business context.
The book provides a range of case studies of organisations which have applied this "progressive" leadership logic and thereby survived and indeed prospered during the recent business cycles and crises, when others which continued to apply a now redundant and outdated leadership logic have struggled and indeed disappeared.

With Kindest Regards,
Greg Park Ph.D., FCIM.
