Dear all,
We are considering the proposal of a Special Issue on Time Perspective. The outlet would be a top journal in Organizational Behavior. We contend that time is more commonly investigated through objective/"clock" time dimensions (e.g., deadlines, work pace, schedules, monochronicity/polychronicity, etc.) and less commonly through subjective/"psychological" time (i.e., the individual's perception and experience of time).
We aim to focus on one particular aspect of this psychological time called Time Perspective or TP (according to Kurt Lewin, the sum of the individual's viewpoints of his psychological past and future existing at a given time) and its relationships to numerous OB themes such as: new employee-employer relationships, goal setting and performance, and information processing. Although we mainly focus on Zimbardo and Boyd's (1999) TP conceptualization, we also encourage OB scholars to use other time-related conceptualizations [e.g., see Shipp et al.'s (2009) temporal focus article].
What do you think of this project? We would like to gauge interest in this special issue. Please, let us know your opinion by emailing: ludvig.levasseur@hotmail.fr.
We are looking forward to hearing from you!
Thank you so much and best regards!
