West Chester University's Department of Management in the College of Business and Public Management invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in human resources management at the assistant/associate professor level. The position begins with the fall (August) 2017 semester.

     

    Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, advising students, conducting research, and participating in academic and professional service activities. Teaching assignments will include online courses in the MS in HRM and MBA programs, in-person undergraduate classes and opportunities for teaching other management courses and at off-campus sites.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Position requires a Ph.D. or D.B.A. or candidacy for the Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Business Administration or Management with a concentration in human resources or organizational behavior or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited school.  Doctoral degrees in non-business fields such as Industrial/Organizational Psychology will be considered if candidate is conducting scholarly research appropriate for AACSB accredited institutions and consistent with West Chester University's scholarly academic standards.

     

    Online teaching experience is required, as well as a proven research record or a demonstration of research capability. Teaching experience at the graduate level is preferred. Additional industry experience in the coursework to be taught is preferred. Finalists must successfully complete the interview process and give teaching and research demonstrations. Finalists must be A.B.D., or have received their Ph.D. within the last three years, or have a Ph.D. and scholarship that fulfills West Chester University's Scholarly Academic requirements.
