    The Culverhouse College of Commerce at the University of Alabama is seeking candidates for two Associate or Full Professors in Human Resource Management in the Department of Management. Responsibilities include conducting and publishing academic research in high quality journals, teaching courses in the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs and engaging in service at a level commensurate with the level of faculty appointment.


    Requirements: (1) A doctoral degree in management, industrial/organizational psychology, or a related field; (2) record of high quality research and publishing in top management and psychology journals consistent with appointment at associate/full professor; (3) demonstrated experienced in high quality teaching in human resource management, organizational behavior, research methods, or related fields.


    Preferred qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants with experience (research and teaching) in workforce/people/HR analytics, big data applications in human resource management, and similar fields of study. Applicants with experience and continued interest in teaching research methods, statistics, or analytics at the graduate level are preferred. Preference will also be given to applicants with track record of research in occupational safety, particularly in the transportation industry. Finally, applicants with a track record of externally funded research are particularly encouraged to apply.


    The Culverhouse College of Commerce was established in 1919 and is accredited AACSB International. The College has state-of-the art facilities to support research and teaching, including multimedia classrooms and the Bruno Business Library. The College is home to the Human Resources Institute that provides connections between faculty, students, and corporate partners. The College is also home to a world-class Business Analytics Lab, Statistics Consulting and Research Lab, and a newly-initiated Behavior Lab to support faculty research activities.  Additional information is available at the College website:
