Hello OB Colleagues,
I'm seeking potential participants for the following AOM conference proposals. Please email me directly at kimberly_merriman@uml.edu with interest or questions, rather than reply to the listserv. I anticipate rich and lively discussion at these events if the submissions are accepted!
1) Presenter symposium on the employment relationships of 'gig' workers-the nature of these relationships and potential positive and negative consequences. Potential participants should have a working paper on the topic that is ready to go. Submission guidelines require a 2-5 page synopsis of each paper, not including references and tables/figures. It's important that the symposium papers have a tight fit, so I'll narrow the group based on fit.
2) Caucus on the valuation of human capital-especially models for determining the economic value of the assembled and trained workforce. Potential participants simply need to contact me to formally express their interest and then, if the caucus is accepted, show up and engage! This topic lends itself to a wide range of scholars and people in practice. Caucus submissions require: "Names, affiliations, and contact information of 5 (FIVE) AOM members, in addition to the organizer(s), who support the submission. Note that these five names will NOT be listed in the program and will NOT be counted in the Rule of Three + Three."
- Kim
