Job Title: Assistant Professor I-O Psychology

The Department of Psychology, within the College of Science, at VIRGINIA TECH invites applications for an Assistant Professor tenure-track faculty position in Industrial-Organizational Psychology to begin August, 2017.
The Department expects to grow its I-O area over the next several years with multiple new positions. We are particularly interested in candidates who combine a strong quantitative focus with expertise in one or more areas, including: occupational health, health care teams, individual and group differences, selection, or training. In terms of quantitative expertise, we seek candidates who use computational and empirical methods (e.g., Bayesian methods, big data, longitudinal and multi-level analysis, social network analysis, applied psychometrics). Candidates with backgrounds in and interest in teaching social psychology or personality also are desirable. Collaborative opportunities exist both within the department and across the broader university, including Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute, and the University Destination areas (http://provost.vt.edu/destination-areas.html)
