    Dear Colleagues,

I have been using Organization Theory, Design, and Change by Gareth Jones to teach my undergraduate OT course for the past 10 years. Unfortunately, Prentice Hall has discontinued the title and the latest edition is getting old. Could you recommend another textbook for teaching org. theory and design to undergraduates? Textbooks for that level are difficult to find. I'd appreciate any advice you have.

    Thank you!

    -Julie

    Hi Julie,

I used Daft & Armstrong's Organization Theory & Design for the couple of times I taught OT. It's pretty good in terms of the extra instructor materials that you get (e.g. test bank, slides) and you can always supplement it with a packages of articles. I liked the way it brought all of the topics back to organizational structure.

    Hi Julie,

I have used the book suggested before. But there is one which is not as conventional: Reframing Organizations By Lee G. Bolman and Terrence E. Deal!

You don't find too many text books in OT because many programs have dropped this course!

    Thanks,
    Ivan
