OB/HR Lecturer – Department of Organizational Studies

The Department of Organizational Studies at the University of New Mexico invites applications for a Lecturer position in Organizational Behavior/Human Relations starting in the Spring 2017 term. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching business classes at the undergraduate and graduate level. While this position is not on a tenure track, the successful applicant will be expected to participate in some departmental decision making and be active in the Anderson School and related community service.
The Anderson School is AACSB accredited. Management programs enroll approximately 900 undergraduate students and 400 graduate students. New Mexico is an ethnically diverse state with a rich cultural heritage. The University of New Mexico seeks a faculty member who can mentor the University's diverse student population and contribute to the University's mission and values.
Minimum qualifications: Applicants must hold a master's degree or other professional degree in Business or a closely related field (including, but not limited to MPA or MAcc); Have corporate, government, or nonprofit experience with at least two years of supervisory/managerial experience within Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and/or in a closely related field.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
· Evidence of teaching excellence in Organizational Behavior, Human Resources Management and/or in closely related fields
· Executive-level OB/HR management experience in a major organization
· Evidence of creativity and innovation in college-level teaching
· Evidence or potential for excellence in teaching successfully for multicultural constituencies
· Successful completion of coursework in a business management curriculum at an AACSB-accredited school
· A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with diverse communities
