Vickie,
The following article is a few years old, but it discusses policies and the available evidence empirical evidence that should inform such policies:
· Pierce, C. A., & Aguinis, H. 2009. Moving beyond a legal-centric approach to managing workplace romances: Organizationally sensible recommendations for HR leaders. Human Resource Management, 48: 447-464. [available at http://hermanaguinis.com/pubs.html]
I hope this helps!
All the best,
--Herman.

Subject: [OB-LIST] Dual Career Couple University Policies
Dear Colleagues,
My university committee on Family Friendly work-life balance issues is exploring the notion of an official policy and set of guidelines for advancing the needs of dual career couples, which would include both academics and the needs of an academic/industry partner.
Can you please share with me your policies or a link to your website? We hope to provide guidelines to both applicants as well as hiring faculty committees and administration.
Thank you!
Vickie
