  • 1.  Fundamentals of Management Term Project

    Posted 09-17-2016 19:55
    Dear Colleagues,

I currently teach small and large sections of the Fundamentals/Principles of Management Course. This course covers the four basic functions of management (planning, organizing, leading, and controlling). I am interested in suggestions for a term or semester project. I would like a project that would have students to incorporate most of the concepts learned over the course of the semester. It could be possible that students might be asked to work on a project that may require them to select a company (SBU or division) and prepare some sort of deliverable. I am open and interested in any suggestions the group may have.

    Best-
    Justice

    Dear Justice,

Personally, I am using my own "Business Problem Solving Tools" - as attached file in this Email to help students searching, addressing, and solving a business problem throughout a semester.

POLC are managerial functions that students should understand, but applying the understanding is a totally different thing. So, I prefer to using 'business problem solving project' accompanying with lectures.

Students can utilize my tools - popular in business consulting industry - to complete a semester-long project with a group or by individual.

I wish this can help you.
