In the same rankings Surrey Business School's Accounting and Finance programmes were ranked 2nd in the UK and its Management programmes 7th.

     

    We are currently investing to recruit staff whose work is innovative and consequential for international research agendas.

     

    We are seeking exceptional researchers in the areas of Leadership in Organizations and Organizational Decision-Making to join our People and Organizations Department and Centre for Leadership and Decision-Making.  Applicants should have outstanding research and teaching capabilities and be able to contribute to the School's and the University's teaching and research mission.

     

    The Department for People and Organizations at Surrey Business School is a leading centre for research in Work and Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management (HRM) and Organizational Behaviour. Our faculty conduct world-leading research in our core areas of leadership and decision-making, HRM and performance assessment, and quality of working life. We apply our research in our work with students and businesses to develop the next generation of evidence-based leaders and practitioners.

     

    The Centre for Leadership and Decision-Making has three core research priorities: relational leadership, leadership and well-being and decision-making processes.   The goal of the Centre is to produce world-class research that is relevant and applicable to today's leaders. We especially seek candidates who fit with our research priorities, but are open to applications from leading scholars in any aspect of leadership and decision making.

     

    For Professors and Readers, we expect an excellent record of scholarship, world-leading research of with impact, demonstrated by an outstanding record of publication and research funding success allied to evidence of academic leadership and external esteem.

     

    At Senior Lecturer and Lecturer level, we expect an excellent record of scholarship and research of international significance, demonstrated by a strong publication profile and the capability to generate research funding. 

     

    Successful candidates will find the People and Organizations Department to be a positive, supportive, collaborative, and highly productive environment within which to develop their research and careers. All staff in the Department are expected to contribute to research, teaching and outreach/business engagement activity.
