  • 1.  New course on Organizational Behavior

    Hello Everyone,

I am a new subscriber to the list serve.

I joined because I am writing a new OB class for upper division undergrad's (and may offer a class/seminar for grad students).

Does anyone have recommendations for a good textbook for such classes?

Also, if there are syllabi anyone has found to be really effective with the class and willing to share, my personal email address is:

    mllind@swbell.net.

Thanks everyone – and have a Good Holiday Weekend!

    Dear Dr. Lindsey:

I am teaching Organizational Behavior for the first time in a number of years (over 10), despite the fact that it is my primary interest.  I'm not really sure if you're looking to develop an upper-level survey course (which is what I am teaching) or something else.  But I'll make a suggestion and you can decide if it "works" for you.

I am using Terri Scandura's book (published by Sage), Essentials of Organizational Behavior.  The book is well organized and clear in its presentation.  In addition, the resources are easy to access and use for someone who is technologically inept (as I am).  Finally, the publisher's representative has been really great about answering questions and following up to make sure that all is working well.  As a result, I recommend this book for consideration.

I hope that this response helps.

    Best regards,
    Gayle
