    Dear colleagues,

A colleague and I are looking for a scale to measure socialized and personalized use of power (i.e. use of power to further the greater good or collective interests and to further one's own interests), especially by leaders. So far we have found that one common, more traditional approach, was to content analyze texts such as speeches, stories, etc. to measure power motive or power motivation. Studies focusing on pseudo-transformational leadership or socialized and personalized charismatic leadership tend to use the MLQ, which does not contain any sub-scales that directly measure power motivation or use of power. Others have discussed that the responsible use of power is an essential aspect of ethical leadership, but ethical leadership measures we have found also do not measure
power motivation or use of power.

Can anyone suggest survey scales to measure
socialized and personalized use of power directly?
    Thanks for any suggestions.
    best,
