    With immediate effect, the Chair of Research and Science Management (www.rm.wi.tum.de) at TUM School of Management, Technical University of Munich (TUM) invites applications for a position as

    Postdoctoral Researcher/Research Associate in the area of "Leadership in the Digital Transformation".

    What we offer you

    We offer a two-year position with the possibility to extend the contract by one year. Employment is based on pay grade TV-L13.

     

    TUM School of Management and the Chair of Research and Science Management provide autonomous working conditions and excellent opportunities for high-quality research. Access to an experimental laboratory as well as good relations with leading business organizations are available. Members of the Chair have a track record of publishing in high-impact journals and have been employing a broad range of empirical methods including quantitative field studies, laboratory experiments, diary studies, or qualitative interviews. There is a great openness towards new methodological approaches. The group offers a collaborative, productive working climate and ample international networking opportunities.

    Job description

    The primary tasks of the successful candidate include the development and execution of ambitious research projects with international impact in the above-mentioned field. Furthermore, the candidate is expected to derive implications for the executive education at TUM. (The position does not require teaching, however, opportunities for teaching at various levels exist).

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate should demonstrate high-quality research capabilities (ideally signaled through successful journal publications or manuscripts near to completion). An excellent degree in management/economics (focus on human resources, management, leadership), psychology (focus on work and organizational psychology, social psychology) or related fields is expected. Furthermore, the successful candidate will have very good English skills, profound knowledge of statistics and experience in designing and implementing empirical studies. Strong interest and ideally experience in the above-mentioned research area as well as an interest in teamwork and cooperation are wanted. International experience and a PhD-degree are of advantage.

International candidates will be interviewed via Skype; in addition, members of the Chair of Research and Science Management will visit the AOM Annual Meeting in Anaheim in August to conduct interviews.
