The Center for Behavioral and Decision Research (CBDR) at Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a talented Lab Manager. CBDR is an interdisciplinary research center at Carnegie Mellon University that brings together scholars from behavioral economics, organizational behavior, marketing, psychology, public policy, and computer science. The current directors of CBDR are Professor Taya Cohen (Tepper School of Business), Professor George Loewenstein (Department of Social & Decision Sciences), and Professor Alessandro Acquisti (Heinz College of Public Policy). CBDR provides researchers with a unique mixture of resources including specialized lab spaces, an active participant pool, computers and equipment (more information about CBDR can be found at: https://cbdr.tepper.cmu.edu/).
The main duties of the Lab Manager include:
· Developing and implementing operating and administrative policies and procedures for the use of CBDR laboratories and equipment.
· Assisting researchers with experiment design, data collection, and analysis.
· Performing financial recordkeeping and lab system budgeting
· Managing purchasing of equipment and software, and scheduling maintenance for the laboratories.
· Maintaining and growing community and student subject pools for lab-based and online studies.
· Resolving research participant issues, and providing support to participants and researchers.
