    ******** Apologies for cross-posting********

    Dear Colleagues,

I am currently working on a meta-analysis project to compare the validity of organizational safety climate. Although my research assistants have been diligently locating all published works incorporating such measures of safety climate, we are also seeking copies of any conference presentations and/or unpublished findings in order to address the "file drawer" problem and any resultant publication bias affecting our meta-analysis effect size estimates.

We would very much appreciate a copy of any unpublished/file drawer studies that examined the relationship between safety climate and its outcomes.

If a write-up is not available, even receiving the following summary information would be helpful:

    • The country where the data was collected:
    • The level of measurements of safety climate and its outcomes (i.e., individual, group, or organizational levels):
    • The nature of the study design (i.e., cross-sectional, longitudinal, or cross-lagged):
    • The industry of the participating organization(s):
    • Name and authors of the safety climate measure used (and identifying it as a universal or industry-specific measure)
    • Descriptive statistics (scale means, reliabilities, sample size) for safety climate and any of safety-related outcomes
    • Correlation matrix of safety climate and any of the above safety-related outcomes included in your study

Please send your studies to ohp@uwosh.edu and indicate how you would like to be cited.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.  We hope the results of our study may shed light on the utility of safety climate for researchers and practitioners in this area.

    Sincerely,

    Lixin
