    Dear all,

    Greetings.

I would like to plot interaction terms in regression. I wonder if you could please share what program you use to plot interaction terms.

    Thank you.

    Best wishes,
    Cynthia Zhang

    Dear Cynthia Zhang,

you may want to take a look at http://www.jeremydawson.co.uk/slopes.htm and http://www.quantpsy.org/interact/ or the following articles.

    Hello Cynthia,

If your interacting terms are categorical, you can use the function "interaction.plot" function in R [1,2]. A package I have found to be very useful in plotting interactions when the interacting terms are continuous is "pequod" [3].

    Hello Cynthia,

If you are already have PROCESS (Hayes, 2013) installed within SAS or SPSS (http://www.processmacro.org/index.html), there is a pretty nice plotting tool built into it for 2 and 3-way interactions. Model template 1 is a 2-way interaction and Model template 3 is a 3-way interaction. If you are using the graphical interface, once all the terms are included, you can choose 'Options' and then "Generate data for plotting". If you are writing the syntax to call PROCESS, you just include "plot=1" in the code. This will produce syntax to generate a plot. It also produces a new dataset of the predicted values which you can use to generate any other kind of graph you want.

    I hope that is helpful,
